Sustainability

With the guidance of the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau, the SPP11 Organizing Committee is committed to operating the conference in an environmentally friendly manner.

SPP11 contributes to paperless operations by distributing programs and abstracts online only, rather than printing them. To minimize food waste, lunches are prepared based on pre-conference order surveys. We also contribute to environmental protection by diligently separating waste.

Our specific environmentally conscious activities include offering sustainable giveaways to all participants. We distribute durable Congress Bags that participants can reuse long after the conference. Additionally, we provide stainless steel water bottles, and by setting up water dispensers at the venue, we aim to reduce the use of paper cups. Both the bags and bottles will be produced with a carefully considered conference logo design to encourage their continued use after the conference.
